Cause and Effect
All evil, no matter what form it takes, how big or how small it is and no matter who does it, has one source.
It seems that most people consider humans as physical beings. They are mistaken, however. We are spirit beings, living in a physical body to operate in this physical world.
Because we are spirit beings, there are three sources for our thoughts. Some of course are our own. Some are from God's Holy Spirit. The rest are from the devil.
Therefore, all of the evil mentioned above is a result of the thoughts put into people's minds by the devil.
Even though many don't want to admit it, every form of rejection of Jesus Christ as the Son of God is a result of the thoughts put in peoples minds by the devil.
Some say there is no God. Some say that God is a she. Some say that there is no hell. Some say that Jesus was a lying imposter or that He didn't exist. All of those come from the same source and they produce the same results.
The devil is brilliant and cunning and he finds out what a person is willing to accept as their reason for rebelling against God. When he finds out, he pulls out all the stops and makes the person think that they are their own thoughts.
The devil is a perfect example of the old adage, "misery loves company". It is sad that those persons aren't aware of what is happening. They don't know it but the devil goes into hysterics when he gets them to accept his lies.
The whole reason for the devil doing what he does is, he hates God with a burning passion. Since he can't do anything to God himself, he has to get at Him through His finest creation, mankind. It breaks God's heart when a person refuses to accept Jesus as their Savior due to the devil's lies. It also breaks God's heart when a person accepts Jesus as Savior but allows the devil to steal what is rightfully theirs as a child of God by stealing the truth of God's word from them.
God said through Hosea in Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge......................
That has not changed since it was spoken.
There are many people with good but misguided intentions putting erroneous information about God, His word and Jesus on the Internet as well as witting books with the erroneous information.
Jesus said as recorded in John Chapter 8, " if you continue in my word, you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free". So the litmus test concerning God's word is, when you obey the word does it make you free.
I share the truth of God's word with many, many people and as I do the Holy Spirit bears witness with their spirit that I am telling them the truth. However some try to act on what I have shared and they don't get the results so they say that there was nothing to it.
The reason they didn't get the results is that they didn't get in God's word and build their faith. They tried to act on my faith. That simply will not work.
A person cannot understand God's word by reading it like a news paper or trying to interpret it. The only way to get the truth that sets free is to meet the terms set forth in His word to be taught by the Holy Spirit Himself.
The KJV doesn't give a hint at it. This is the condition set out in the original Greek. 1 Peter 2:2 As new born babes, intensely crave, the un-deceitful, unadulterated milk of the word that you may grow thereby. This scripture and Heb. 11:6 both require craving. Heb. 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek(crave) him.
These two verses alone are proof that a nonchalant, happy go lucky, take it or leave it attitude will get a person nothing.
